How do you do an American accent without sounding Texan?

this is hard for me to answer cause im american. to me your asking how to talk. i just talk and what comes out comes out. i guess by texan you mean with southern twang?? just try to imitate a Californian or a Georgian (some one from California or Georgia) they have the most normal sounding accents
