Laptop, ideal for design course at university?

sure, the specs are fine, but you ought to be able to get a similar laptop (with no remote though), for $400-$500 or 200-300pounds, I think you're in the UK though so shipping...but try www.microcenter.com if they'll ship there. You might be able to get them to with a phone call...
