Why is everybody hating on hilary duff?

I mean she isn't perfect nobody's perfect!!! Also she just went through a major breakup with joel madden and his rebound was NICOLE RICHIE!! I would be the same way if my rebound girl was nicole richie i mean she's skinnier than hilary duff and unlike nicole richie hilary duff is getting help for her huge weight loss but come on we all go through our little phases!!!
