How many "Christian nations" had representative government (elections) prior to the 18th Century?

Too many people use the term Christian too loosely, especially politicians these days. People often neglect the fact that belief is supported by action & the actions of the "founding fathers" were anything but Christian. But, it's just the same today as it was back then.
