Tips on wearing high-waisted skirt?

Hi..I own a black cotton comfy high-waisted Gonna skirt that's got 2/3 tiers and lots of pleats in the lower-most 2 tiers. I don't understand which side of the skirt should be the front or the back side. One more problem is that one side of the skirt has shorter pleats than the other side. There are two linings on the skirt that goes vertically below till the hem that joins the front and the back. If I try to wear the skirt with the brand name and the specifications on my back, the linings end one on the front side and the other on the back side and only one part of my backside gets the shorter pleats. Should the linings be placed on my hips? Should the side with the shorter pleats be on the backside (which looks y) ?
