Video Game Testing jobs; real or a scam?

I found an ad on yahoojobs.com to be a beta tester for a website called nationalgametesters.com and It seemed legit...until they asked for $40 upfront membership fee....this is probably a dumb question, but I really want to know if its a hoax or the real deal. I really hope its legit; it would be the most perfect job for me!
